Neo Creature Bots 2.0
Back with Brand-New Curriculum!
June 22 – June 26 | Grades 2–4
In Neo Creature Bots camp, your animal lover will build a variety of robotic creatures that respond to programmed commands. While working with a partner or in teams to solve challenges, students learn how to effectively use sensors, understand how different mechanical components work in their robots, and discover that programming is a challenging but rewarding skill they can master with practice. Students are supported in developing coding and building skills through creative, engaging challenges—it’s going to be a RAWR-ing good time!
What Students Will Learn
Simple Programming Skills
With each new model, students are given a program to operate their robotic build. They learn how to read program code, fix errors, debug broken code, and modify programs using a Scratch-based coding platform. Whether making their robot respond to sensors, adding loops and sounds, or modifying variables, students build strong foundational coding skills.
Mechanical Elements
Before building, students identify key mechanical components used in each robotic model to better understand how the pieces work together in the final design. They explore motors, sensors, gears, axles, the robot hub, and more.
Following Instructions
Students practice following verbal and written instructions throughout each lesson, learning routines and step-by-step processes needed to complete models and games—all in a fun, supportive environment.
Communication & Collaboration Skills
Small groups and peer partnerships are central to the program. Through team projects and partner activities, students develop positive teamwork, respectful communication, and productive collaboration skills.
