WINTER CARNIVAL CAMP - 4 day camp

STEM & Innovation Camp (Ages 8–12)
Yoga

Students will practice mindfulness, gentle stretching, and calming exercises to get geared up for a fun-filled day ahead. This activity helps balance mind and body, improve focus, and start the day on a positive note.

3D Printing

3D Design & Printing
This program introduces students to the exciting world of 3D design and printing. Students will create their own digital designs and watch their creations come to life on a 3D printer. It’s the perfect mix of creativity and technology!

Joyful Physics: Experiential Workshop on Energy

This 4-hour experiential physics workshop introduces children to the concept of Energy through joyful exploration, movement, and hands-on discovery.

Students will build confidence by learning through experience, using play-based experiments aligned with California NGSS standards.

Guided readings from Joyful Physics – Volume I help students develop essential physics vocabulary such as energy, conservation of energy, potential energy, kinetic energy and total energy.

Through collaborative activities using everyday objects in their playground—like a basketball—students will question, observe, and discover physical laws much like Newton did: through curiosity and experimentation. They will explore how physics is already at work in their playground and daily lives.

To reinforce learning, students will create a colorful take-home project that creatively demonstrates their understanding of these concepts using artistic expression. This approach ensures deep retention and prepares students for curriculum-based Physics with Math courses which they will encounter in middle school, high school, and beyond.

Because the laws of physics are already happening all around us—children just need to learn how to observe them, joyfully.

Sports

Students will participate in fun physical activities designed to develop coordination, teamwork, and active lifestyle skills. They will enjoy games involving balancing, scoring points, running, athletics, little races, soccer, basketball, throwball, and warm-up/cool-down routines.

🎉 On the last day, students will make yummy hot chocolate 🍫 with vegan marshmallow s’mores ✨. They can even come dressed in their coziest pajamas 🛌 to snuggle up while watching a fun winter movie 🎬 and enjoying the cup they made themselves ☕!
