Advanced Marine Science Camp is a week filled with exploration while learning about the coast and its surrounding habitats. Advanced Marine Science Campers will start their week by visiting the Aurora Fossil Museum to learn about the animals that once inhabited our coast. Throughout the week campers will participate in a variety of activities, such as collecting organisms from the river, fishing, and dissecting a shark, which will expand their knowledge about our coastal waters. Campers will take a trip to the coast where they will explore a salt marsh and snorkel in the sound, while learning the importance of protecting this beautiful resource. The night will be spent discovering the aquarium and sleeping in front of the shark tank at the Pine Knolls Shore Aquarium. Once campers return to camp they will get to create a one of a kind craft that they can wear on their way home. Advanced Marine Science Campers will leave Don Lee with a greater appreciation for our coast and unforgettable memories!
