Crash course on the history of street art, its differences from graffiti and a look at contemporary artists in the "scene". Students will learn how to make their own stencils and have the opportunity to create a work with spray paint. During this course, students will work together to research wall locations and write a proposal for a mural that will positively impact the community it will live in.

• Out and about teach day to look at 1-3 works of art all within two blocks of our school.

• Creating street art with chalk on the sidewalk of Synergy.

• Viewing various short films on street art.

• End of the week OUT TO LUNCH with instructor to have a final discussion on why street art is important and often gives voice to those who might not have one.

Synergy Summer Tech Camp runs 9:00 AM - 3 PM.
Early drop-off (free) starts at 8:15 AM
Extended Care: 3 PM - 6 PM is available for an extra $80 fee.

We collect a $100 deposit per session with the balance due by the first day of each camp.
