The South-Central Texas Youth & Young Adult Team together with the
TX Conference Youth Department would like to invite you to another
exciting experience on the streets of Eagle Pass on Saturday, March
17, 2018 for our annual Global Youth Day will start:
at 4653 HWY 57 Eagle Pass, TX 78852

“The Lord has appointed the youth to be His helping hands and
ARMY preaching the message of love to the world” CS p.30
Come and join us as we trace the footsteps of Jesus imitating His
wonderful example of love to others in the city of Eagle Pass.
We hope to see you there!

March 17 Global Youth Day is fast approaching and we hope everybody is getting ready! Adventist Youth from around the world will be the sermon.

In Eagle Pass, Texas we are getting ready for this wonderful day. As of today, we have a LED sign that is 30’ x 14’ posting every 5 minutes the 3 advertisements. Next week we will have another LED sign in downtown by the Chamber of Commerce office. We are also looking for another big regular billboard to advertise on as well. A banner will be displayed across Main St. in front of the County Lake where the parade will start.

Here is some important information from our event coordinator Pr Carlos Rodriguez.

The plan is to start everything at the Eagle Pass Church (4653 Hwy 57 Eagle Pass, TX 78852). For those that are planning to camp out on the church property, can arrive on Friday anytime. Pastor David Montoya and church members will be waiting.

The tent camping area will be at the back of the church property towards the left (south). There will be 2 showers and portable toilets available. The church will provide a lite supper for the ones arriving on Friday. For those that will like to stay in local hotels are welcome to at their own expense.

Below is the tentative schedule for the weekend:
• Friday night worship will start depending on what time everyone gets there.

• Sabbath everything will start 9:30am at the church and from there we will follow the bulletin which will provide updated information if anything has changed.

• For now, we have Sabbath lunch planned but are still looking for a place to accommodate everyone since the church doesn’t have the capabilities for it.

• We will have various activities going on around the city. To better serve you we are considering getting busses to transport everyone to the different activities, like they do in Oshkosh.

Here are the Sabbath afternoon activities:
• Health Fair & Safety Awareness (Multi-Purpose Center) - Doctors, Nurses, Therapist, Police & Fire Departments along with others will be providing their services to the community. We will need several volunteers to help with the care the children while the parents are participating in the different booths.

• Hospital Visit — Sharing a small bible message, we will have packages to put together, singing and coloring with the children, and praying with the sick.

• Nursing Home Visit — Singing, praying, coloring, and sharing a small bible message with them.

• Community Service — Help two elderly homes repairs. The city we will have 5 different projects for us in the community.

• Adventist Community Service — 18-Wheeler full of clothes, water and hygiene kits to be giving out in the community.

• Food Bank — We will be doing some packing, organizing, and distributing food to the needy.

• Parade — Starts at 4:00pm— we will need to start lining up by club at 3:00pm at the Maverick County Lake Jogging Trail, Eagle Pass TX 78852. Parade order Police Department, Pathfinder Drill Band, Pathfinder clubs and at the end the Fire Department.

• Vespers — Back at the church where we will be having baptisms.

• Gym Night (Multi-Purpose Center on 480 S. Adams St.) - basketball tournament, Putt-Putt (Free), bounce houses outside the Gym. FREE PIZZA for supper (provided by the Youth Department).

• **We will finish at 11:00pm

I pray this information will help each club to plan for this wonderful #GYD18 Event.

Blessings and see you soon in Eagle Pass.
