Description
Travel back in time to ancient Greece, a golden age of mathematics, where math transformed from a practical tool into a true art form. Through fun, hands-on activities, you’ll uncover patterns hidden in numbers and shapes, investigating how Fibonacci numbers race towards the golden ratio and how that magical proportion is the foundation of Greek temples, classical art, and the spirals we find in nature. Armed with simple tools, you’ll build geometric constructions and see how powerful results like the Pythagorean Theorem emerge naturally from play, curiosity, and logic.

As the week unfolds, we’ll also explore what happens when we break the rules the Greeks took for granted! You’ll step beyond classical geometry, using origami to solve problems that even the greatest of the Greek mathematicians couldn’t. Along the way, you’ll come across entirely new kinds of space, where familiar rules of geometry start to bend. You will experience curiosity-driven math and the feeling of discovering beautiful math for yourself.

At the end comes an epic finale: our lively Greek Olympic Games and a celebratory toga feast, giving all campers a joyful, immersive taste of the ancient world!
