The Positivity Project
Description
The Positivity Project, led by 4th grade teacher Ms. Goepfert, is a club to empower students to become agents of social change by first cultivating emotional intelligence and internal resilience. The Positivity Project operates on the philosophy that "true change starts within."

The Positivity Project is a dual-focus afterschool program that bridges personal development with community service. We believe that a student's ability to impact their community is directly linked to their internal well-being. The club provides a space where students learn that no act of service is too small and that their personal energy can influence the environment around them.

• Internal Regulation: Students will be taught "Inside-Out" techniques, including breathing, grounding exercises, and stress-management tools to calm the inner self and improve focus.
• Service Learning: Members will design and execute a local service project, ranging from school-wide kindness initiatives to community outreach.
• Leadership Development: By practicing the mantra "be the change," students develop the self-awareness and empathy required for effective, compassionate leadership.

Students will leave with a "toolkit" for self-calming and a drive for community contribution, fostering a sense of agency and purpose.

Parent Pick Up
I will pick up my child at the end of the program. (Students not picked up within 5 minutes of the completion of the program will be walked to Extended Day/After Hours.)
Extended Day/After Hours
My child will go to Extended Day after the program. A drop-in fee of $17/hour will be charged for families not contracted for Extended Day/After Hours.
