Take a step into the Mammal Hall and learn the secrets that have helped California wildlife survive and thrive in the unique biome that is Santa Barbara. Learn the secrets of Seal Blubber and Sea Otter fur, and why the black bear has reigned supreme in the Santa Ynez Mountains. Learn the tracks of coyote and compare them to those of our k9 companions! We will hone our observational skills and learn the ways of the wild.
The ocean covers more than 70% of our Earth’s surface. So what’s actually in it? Explore the diverse parts of our global ocean through investigations and games at the Sea Center.
