Adult Intermediate Sailing Class | June
Description
Join us for once-weekly, 3-hour sessions over 4 weeks. These classes are designed for adults who have already taken our Beginner Sailing Class and are ready to sail on their own without the instructor onboard. Sailing on a variety of boats in groups of 2-4, everyone will take turns in the various positions. Participants will focus on steering with proper sail trim through all points of sail, tacking, jibing, docking, rigging, and derigging. Sign up solo or with a group of friends.

For those looking to join this class based on previous experience elsewhere, you should already know how to do the following: attach and hoist sails properly and safely; know the difference between sailing upwind vs downwind and how your sails should be positioned accordingly; identify all points of sail (close haul, tight reach, beam reach, broad reach, run, head to wind); be able to identify these points of sail while undersail with mostly accurate sail trim; how to stop your boat; how to slow your boat without stopping; how to accelerate; avoid collisions; perform tacking and jibing under control. If you have any questions about prerequisites please email or call us with your experience and we can help you find the class to fit your skill set best.
