Fall session includes three days, which may be registered for independently:Thursdays [4-7pm] - 9/10, 9/17 Friday [4-7pm] - 8/28, 9/4, 9/11, 9/18Sunday [3-6pm] - 8/30, 9/13, 9/20Who should take this course?Those looking to compete at the USODA Great Lakes Championship, September 25th, 26th, 27th (likely in Lake Forest, IL). Registration in this course covers coaching fees during the event, and any additional local events during the session. Confident sailors, with intermediate to advanced experience, who have completed 2nd-9th grade (ages 8-15). Especially those with the drive to learn new skills. Students are most comfortable if they are under 5’ or 120lbs. Those over this height or weight should consider a 420 based course.What will my child learn?Coaching will focus on preparing students to confidently attend USODA Great Lakes Championship, and span racing skills to general seamanship.Do we need a boat?Boats will be provided.What do we need to bring?Students must bring their own lunches and snacks as well as a lifejacket, water bottle, change of clothes, water shoes, sun protection, and towel. Fall water is typically warm, but gear requirements can vary daily by forcast. Students should have layers and be prepared to dress themselves to be on the water for practice whatever the weather brings.
