Bravo String Orchestra (6th-8th grade)
Description
Discover the joy of music Bravo, where young musicians embark on a fun-filled journey of music-making, teamwork, and creativity! Whether you’re a seasoned violinist, a budding cellist, or a new-to-strings beginner, this camp offers an exciting opportunity for students to develop their skills, explore new music, and make lasting friendships—all while having a blast!

Led by Sarah Yoon, director of orchestra at Rowland Hall, Bravo String Orchestra Camp provides a supportive environment where campers can grow their skills, express themselves, and build lifelong memories. Whether you're looking to start your musical journey or take your talent to the next level, this camp is the perfect place to let your creativity soar!

Participants will have the opportunity to:
-Engage in daily group rehearsals: Students will play as part of a string orchestra, learning to work together and create beautiful harmonies.
-Build their skills in workshops: Our expert instructors will lead engaging workshops on essential string techniques like bowing, finger placement, posture, and rhythm—plus fun tips and tricks to help students improve their playing in no time!
-Play interactive music games: From rhythm relays to musical scavenger hunts, we incorporate interactive games to reinforce key concepts and keep kids excited about making music.
-Work solo & in small groups: Students will have the opportunity to shine with solo performances or work in smaller ensembles.

If your child is signed up for Bravo String Orchestra camp and would like to attend SummerWorks in the afternoon, you can receive 50% off SummerWorks tuition for that week. If this is of interest, please reach out to Harper Lundquist at harperlundquist@rowlandhall.org.
