Contemporary Modern
Description
This class reinforces foundational modern dance concepts of space, time, and energy through structured technique and movement practice. Instruction focuses on weight and suspension, fall and recovery, and the balance between strength and release. Students will also explore contemporary movement and improvisation to expand expressiveness and develop artistic range.

Attire: Black Leotard (tank or spaghetti straps) or Black fitted tank/t-shirt, Black boy shorts optional (must wear flesh colored convertible tights). Dancers are barefoot for modern. *Dancers will participate in the Merry & Bright Performance on Wednesday, December 9, 2026. Please note that the class fee includes the performance costume.
