Ballet/Lyrical II
Description
This class is designed for dancers who are ready to deepen their technique and explore more expressive movements.

With a focus on both ballet and lyrical styles, dancers will build strength, flexibility, and control while learning more challenging steps, combinations, and transitions. In ballet, students will work on proper posture, foot positions, pliés, tendus, and beginning barre work. In lyrical, dancers will explore fluid movement, emotional expression, and musical interpretation through graceful choreography that blends ballet technique with storytelling. This class encourages artistry and discipline while allowing space for creativity and self-expression. It’s the perfect next step for young dancers who are ready to grow in both skill and style.

Attire: Black leotard, Pink tights, Pink split sole Ballet shoes, and Tan split sole Jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled back away from face. Class attire information can be found on the Parish Extend website: https://parishplus.org/programs/parishextend/dance-academy/

*Dancers will participate in the Merry & Bright Performance on Wednesday, December 9, 2026. Please note that the class fee includes the performance costume.
