Ballet/Lyrical I
Description
This gentle and imaginative class introduces young dancers to the fundamentals of ballet and lyrical movement in a fun, age-appropriate environment. Dancers will learn basic ballet steps, positions, and posture while exploring expressive movement through flowing lyrical combinations. Along the way, they'll develop coordination, musicality, balance, and body awareness as they twirl, leap, stretch, and tell stories through movement. The class also encourages listening skills, self-confidence, and creativity in a nurturing and playful setting.

Attire: While uniform attire is standard in many dance programs, the practicality of an after-school class allows for more time to dance and less time changing clothes. Students will remain in their school clothes but must bring pink split-sole ballet shoes to each class.

*Dancers will participate in the Merry & Bright Performance on Wednesday, December 9, 2026. Please note that the class fee includes the performance costume.
