Little Instrument Makers
Description
In Little Instrument Makers, children become both musicians and inventors as they discover the science behind sound.

Throughout the season, students will build and play a variety of working instruments, including shakers, tambourines, kazoos, pan flutes, and simple xylophones, using everyday materials. Along the way, they'll explore rhythm, melody, and how different instruments create sound while strengthening creativity, fine motor skills, and problem-solving abilities. This engaging, hands-on class blends music, science, and art into an exciting learning experience that encourages exploration and self-expression. No prior musical experience is needed! Just a willingness to create, experiment, and make some music!

Students Will:
• Build and decorate working musical instruments.
• Explore how sound, vibration, rhythm, and pitch work.
• Practice keeping a steady beat and playing simple rhythms.
• Experiment with different instrument designs and materials.
• Develop creativity, fine motor skills, and confidence through hands-on projects.
