Algebra II
Description
Prerequisite: A minimum grade of 85 and recommendation from Geometry teacher. 

Course Description: This is a very fast paced, self-directed full course in Algebra II for students who have been recommended by their geometry teacher. Students in this course will study linear, absolute value, quadratic, rational, exponential, logarithmic and polynomial functions. Students will learn to express mathematical problems and to solve problems algebraically, numerically, and graphically. Students will also gain proficiency in working with a graphing calculator and learn to use it as a tool in problem solving. Students will use a TI-Nspire CX graphing calculator. 

Successful completion of this course will place the student in Precalculus Advanced for the subsequent school year.  It is not intended to put you on the honors track for Precalculus.

This course is taught by Parish Upper School Math teachers. 

Attendance Expectations & Requirements 

Students are required to be on campus for their assessments every Thursday through the summer from 11:00am to 1:00pm

Students may reschedule only one test during the test and this cannot include the final exam, scheduled for Thursday, August 6th

If you are scheduled to miss two weeks over the summer, you should not register for this course.

The first exam is scheduled for Thursday, June 4th


Virtual Math Lab office hours will be available every Tuesday and Wednesday from 11am-1pm

Unit Reviews will run from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm each week

Unit Tests will begin promptly at 12:00 pm each week. No early testing.
