Timed Writing Workshop
Description
Worried about Timed Writing assignments in Upper School? Don’t be! These skills can be learned, practiced, and mastered with the right strategies.

In this workshop, students will explore effective ways to annotate texts, take notes, and prepare for any prompt. They’ll learn a step-by-step approach to crafting a strong response: carefully reading the prompt, brainstorming ideas, selecting the best evidence, writing efficiently, and revising under time constraints. Students will also practice structuring their responses with clear introductions, cohesive body paragraphs, and strong topic sentences - helping them write confidently and effectively every time.
