Reading & Writing Workshop-1st-2nd
Description
Get ready for a joyful journey into words and stories!

In the reading session, students will work on decoding clues, answering comprehension questions, and building essential pre-literacy skills like word decoding and sound tapping. Through group activities, they’ll strengthen comprehension, handwriting, fine motor, and communication skills.

When it’s time to write, campers will explore stories through mentor texts and craft their own written responses. From sounding out words and constructing sentences to brainstorming creative story ideas and adding colorful illustrations, this camp sparks a love for reading and writing. A perfect way to inspire budding readers and writers!

A camp summary will be sent home the Friday of camp week.
