Reading Workshop-2nd
Description
This engaging reading workshop is designed to support rising 2nd graders as they strengthen foundational reading skills and build confidence as independent readers.

Through whole group and small-group instruction and interactive activities, campers will practice decoding strategies, improve reading fluency, and deepen comprehension using carefully selected leveled texts and early chapter books. Each day, students will focus on essential reading skills such as recognizing spelling patterns, using context clues, identifying main ideas and details, and retelling stories with accuracy and expression.

With a focus on encouragement and growth, this workshop helps young readers develop stamina, accuracy, and a love of reading.

A camp summary will be sent home the Friday of camp week.
