STEM Workshop: Designing Solutions
Description
In this hands-on STEM workshop, students will learn how engineers and designers create solutions to real-world problems.
Campers will practice identifying challenges, setting goals, and exploring multiple ways to solve a problem before choosing a final approach. Through guided design challenges, students will learn backward design, starting with a goal and planning, building, testing, and improving their solutions. Working in small groups, campers will prototype, revise, and reflect on what works and why. This workshop emphasizes creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, helping students build confidence as thoughtful problem-solvers.
