Environmental Sustainability Service Camp
Description
Join us for a transformative one-week camp dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability in our community. In partnership with a local environmental sustainability nonprofit, high school students will engage in meaningful service projects that directly support life in water, life on land, and a “greener” community. Participants will gain insights into current environmental challenges in the DFW metroplex and hear from experts on how they can help.

Through hands-on activities, discussions, and mentorship, students will develop leadership skills and a deeper understanding of social responsibility. By the end of the week, they will have made a tangible impact on environmental sustainability in Dallas and be empowered to continue advocating for change.

This camp is intended for rising Parish 11th & 12th graders to complete their required two-year commitment to one nonprofit organization helping them fulfill 15 service hours in their Junior and Senior years. If a student registers as a Junior, the expectation is that they will take the camp again the following summer. If you have any questions about this requirement or are a newly enrolled 11th or 12th grade student, please contact the Director of Community Service, Beth Kirner (bkirner@parish.org).

Students will need to provide their own transportation to school and to off-site volunteering.
