Math Enrichment: Geometry in the Real World
Description
In this hands-on math enrichment camp, rising 3rd and 4th grade students will explore how geometry is present in the world around them through building, designing, and problem-solving challenges. Campers will work with shapes, angles, measurement, area, and perimeter as they investigate how math is used in architecture, engineering, and everyday structures. Each day, students will take on engaging design challenges, such as building sturdy bridges, creating floor plans, or designing 3D models, while practicing accurate measurements and thinking through spatial problems. Along the way, campers will learn how to plan, test, revise, and explain their ideas using math vocabulary and visual models.

This camp is perfect for learners who enjoy creating and experimenting. Through collaborative projects and real-world applications, students will strengthen their geometry skills, build confidence in math, and gain a deeper understanding of how math helps shape the world around them.

A camp summary will be sent home the Friday of camp week.
