Cooking From Scratch
Description
Get cooking with SAGE and Parish’s Food Service Director!

Campers will spend the week in the Parish kitchen preparing a variety of delicious dishes while learning practical, age-appropriate cooking skills. Through hands-on experience, they’ll practice basic math concepts such as counting, measuring, weighing, and tracking time, while becoming comfortable using kitchen tools and equipment.

Cooking is a valuable life skill, and this camp helps build confidence in following recipes and working safely in the kitchen. Most importantly, it’s fun - and tasty! The week includes themes like “everything with cheese,” breakfast favorites, muffins and cupcakes, and classic desserts such as pies and brownies. Campers will try multiple recipes, including grilled cheese, quesadillas, Stromboli, and more.

Recipes will be sent home each day so campers can recreate their favorites.
