School Newspaper & News Channel Club!

Have you ever wanted to be a reporter? To keep your community informed and tell important stories? This is your chance! In this class, students explore both broadcast and print journalism.

Students will:
• Learn the fundamentals of journalism, including the role of reporters and ethical reporting
• Practice interviews and personal storytelling to craft compelling articles
• Explore newspaper structure, reporter “beats,” and trend reporting
• Collaborate to plan, write, and design a class newspaper
• Give and receive editorial feedback to improve articles and layouts
• Plan, film, and edit short video news segments and multimedia stories
• Apply teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking in both print and broadcast projects
• Celebrate their work by publishing the newspaper and sharing video projects
