This dynamic intermediate-level class blends the expressive techniques of contemporary, modern, and lyrical dance to help students deepen their emotional connection to movement and develop a stronger technical foundation. Dancers will explore a variety of modern and contemporary styles, incorporating floor work, improvisation, and fluid transitions, while also focusing on the storytelling and emotional nuance of lyrical dance.
Students will build on prior experience with an emphasis on musicality, control, and expression through longer movement phrases and choreography. Class will include structured warm-ups, across-the-floor progressions, improvisation exercises, and performance-quality combinations that challenge dancers both artistically and physically.

Attire:
• Black Leotard (tank or spaghetti straps) or Black fitted tank/t-shirt
• Black boy short optional (must wear flesh colored convertible tights)
• Half-sole
• Hair pulled up away from face
