Karate is a dynamic martial art that teaches children discipline, respect, and self-confidence while helping develop physical coordination, balance, and strength. This after-school program introduces students to the fundamentals of Karate in a fun and supportive environment. Classes are designed to build self-awareness, self-control, and teamwork, while also offering an outlet for energy and a foundation in mindfulness through movement.

No experience is necessary, and all activities are adapted to be age-appropriate, safe, and aligned with students’ developmental stages. The program culminates in a final demonstration or belt ceremony to celebrate student progress.

Class will focus on:

• Week 1: Dojo etiquette & respect – Bow-in, posture practice, dojo rules
• Week 2: Fundamental stances – Front stance, back stance drills
• Week 3: Punches & breathing – Jab-cross + breath control (kihap)
