Leaders In Training
Description
This is a 5-day program for rising 11th graders who are interested in and ready for the responsibility of caring for children in a camp environment while passing on the Hidden Villa legacy of social and environmental justice. LIT participants learn some of the skills they will need as counselors, supporting camp programs, as well as enjoying some camp fun of their own. Topics covered in LIT are communication techniques, conflict resolution, and some basic leadership skills to use with groups of campers. Trainees will have the opportunity to practice these skills and work with experienced counselors in our Day Camp programs.

LIT campers will enjoy sleeping under the stars on a mixed-gender camping platform in the fresh air. Sleeping pads will be provided.
