🔍 FAQs
📅 When can I sign up?
Right now! Head over to UltraCamp and secure your spot. Campsites and day-passes are limited, and registration closes
April 10.
📍Where is Olema Campground?
Just 1.5 hours north of the 19th Ave campus, nestled next to
Point Reyes National Seashore.
Cute town alert:
Pt. Reyes Station
is 5 minutes away with food options, groceries, and all the small-town charm.
⛺️ Do I have to camp the whole weekend?
Nope! Come Friday night, Saturday morning, or just for the day. Day passes are available for Saturday. We recommend arriving by Saturday afternoon for the full experience!
🍽 What’s the Saturday dinner all about?
It’s a community BBQ feast — grilled meats, salmon, veggies, snacks, and of course, s’mores! Let us know any dietary needs during registration — we’ve got you covered.
🤝 How can I help with the BBQ?
This event thrives on community! Each adult helps out in some way on Saturday night — from grill duty to s’mores setup. You’ll choose your volunteer spot at checkout.
Middle schoolers love to help too — and we welcome them as volunteers!
🥪 What about other meals?
Bring your own meals (except Saturday dinner if you’ve signed up for it), or check out dining options in Pt. Reyes Station.
🎒 I’ve never been camping before… help?!
You’re not alone! Many CAIS families have made their camping debut at this event. It’s organized, supportive, and fun. Gear up with borrowed or rented equipment (Sports Basement at Stonestown is great!) — and here’s a
basic packing list.
Need advice? Just ask us!
🚐 Can I bring a camper van or RV?
Great news! We have 5 spots reserved for RVs! Please note that tent sites don’t allow RVs/camper vans with tanks. If you are planning on bringing an RV, please make sure you select that during registration.
⏰ What’s check-out time?
All campsites must be packed up and cleaned by noon on Sunday, May 17th.
🏡 I don’t like to camp — can I still come?
Absolutely! We have about
22 car day-use spots
available - fill up the car with friends & family and come hang out, join the BBQ, and soak in the community fun. Want to stay nearby? There are lodging options in the area too.
🐾 Can I bring my dog?
We love pups, but due to some leash issues during a previous trip,
dogs are not allowed
for this trip. We’re working to bring back dog-friendly camping in the fall — paws crossed! 🐶
📅 Can’t make it this time?
Mark your calendar for the
Fall Camping Trip: October 2nd-4th, 2026!
🙌 Want to Get More Involved?
We’re building something beautiful — and we need your help to keep it going! During sign-up, you’ll have a chance to raise your hand for leadership and planning roles for future trips. We’d love to have you on the team.
Let’s pitch some tents, make some memories, and strengthen the amazing CAIS community one campfire at a time. 🔥
Sign up today, and we’ll see you at Olema! ⛺️
