Social Emotional Learning Activities with Coach Douglass [S26]
Description
Your child’s social and emotional health is just as important as their physical well-being. In fact, social-emotional development plays a crucial role in a child’s overall growth, learning, and long-term success. Studies by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation highlight that meeting a child’s social-emotional needs in preschool is a key component of early school readiness and healthy development. Emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) at this stage helps children thrive not only academically, but also mentally and physically—from Preschool into adulthood.
This class uses weekly themes, songs, engaging activities, puppets, and visual aids to help children better understand, manage, and express their emotions. They will also build empathy, develop positive relationships, and learn to make responsible decisions—all essential skills for lifelong success.
