Brendan Getzell has been teaching individual music lessons at CAIS since 2016, offering instruction in piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice. A Menhuin Scholar pianist during his time at The Nueva School in Hillsborough, California, Brendan has a lifelong passion for music education and performance. His diverse background includes performing with jazz bands, marching bands, choirs, and musical theatre productions. A former Jeopardy! contestant (2014), he brings a sharp ear, humor, and a deep love of music to every lesson.

In 2019, he served as Musical Director for the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival’s production of As You Like It. He is currently the Musical Director for the acclaimed Kat Robichaud’s Misfit Cabaret concert series at the Great American Music Hall, and hosts the award-winning Hotel Utah Open Mic in San Francisco.

Brendan uses the Piano Adventures series by Faber for piano instruction, and the Hal Leonard Guitar Method for guitar students.

Lesson Details:
Private Lesson Fee: $55 for a 30-minute lesson
Instruments Offered: Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Voice

Scheduling Preferences:

  • Your final schedule will be confirmed once all requests are processed.


    • Important Policy Notes:
  • Once a student is registered, no cancellations will be allowed.

  • Tuition will be billed monthly to your UltraCamp account after the first lesson.

  • If a student misses a class, it will still be billed. However, a make-up lesson credit will be issued and must be used within the same school year.

  • Classes cancelled by the instructor will be not be charged.
