Citizen Naturalists with Rachel of Dragonfly Nature
Description
Citizen Naturalists is designed to get students outdoors, exploring the campus’ natural environment and observing the plant and animal species we discover. It is both educational and physical, and will expand students’ understanding of science, nature, and their personal place in the world. We will focus especially on the relationships between living species, how these living things impact their environment, and our human relationship with it all. Students will join Rachel of Dragonfly Nature Programs LLC, to study the natural environment on campus. Most of our experiences will be outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold. Because nature directs our weekly focus, each class will vary while building on past experiences. Former program participants and new students are both welcome!
This enrichment class is available for Early Childhood (4 year olds - Kindergarten) on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:00pm.
The cost is $360 for 12 classes.
Class will be held on: September 15, September 22, September 29, October 6, October 13, October 20, October 27, November 3, November 10, November 17, December 1, December 8
Class will NOT be held on: November 24
Make up date, if needed: December 15
