April Full Moon Hike
Description
Friday, May 1 is the day of The Full Flower Moon, but we’ll gather to celebrate it the day before.   We’ll be hoping for clear skies so that we can watch the Moon rise in the east.  We’ll begin with a little poetry and a discussion of what causes the phases of the Moon as we wait for the Moon to appear.  Then we’ll go out onto the sanctuary for a walk through the fields, and into the woods to enjoy the natural world as the sky darkens.   At the end of the program, we’ll share Full Moon memories and hear another poem as we watch the Moon climb higher into the sky.
