Flora Fun with Families
Description
Please join us to enjoy a family program for kids and their families to learn about identification techniques on a selection of wildflowers and shrubs. We’ll be using the senses of touch, smell and sight!

When you pick a dandelion, do you know how many flowers you’re holding? …and why is it called “dandelion”?

Have you ever smelled fresh catnip?

Do you know certain plants have square stems not round?

How about identifying a fuzzy shrub that Native Americans used to collect maple syrup? And a plant the Native Americans used to wash their hands?

Come and find out!

*This program is intended for kids in lower elementary grades (2nd grade plus); younger siblings always welcome!
