Northwest Wildlife Conservation 2025
Description
Through both zoo-based and field-based experiences, Northwest Wildlife Conservation will explore not only wildlife conservation in the Pacific Northwest but also field investigation techniques that scientists and citizens alike can use to study and conserve our local wildlife and ecoregions. The course will focus in-depth on a particular ecoregion* (e.g., temperate forest, sagebrush steppe, mountains, wetlands, coastal regions or urban areas), using threatened species in the ecoregion as case studies in species recovery.
*2025 in depth study: Sagebrush shrub steppe of Eastern WA
