Take the next step from learning to racing as a team.

Intro to Racing is designed for sailors who are ready to experience the excitement of competitive sailing for the first time. Created with sixth graders and first-time racers in mind, this program provides a welcoming introduction to team sailing while building the confidence and skills needed to succeed in a racing environment.

In a fun, supportive, and development-focused setting, participants build on their sailing skills while learning the fundamentals of racing, teamwork, sportsmanship, and strategy through coached practices and local home regattas.

Whether your sailor is curious about racing or looking to prepare for future middle and high school competition, Intro to Racing offers the perfect first step along the TACS sailing pathway.

Season: September 8 – November 2

Practices: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays after school (varying dismissal times) until 6:00 PM

Regattas: Local weekend home regattas

Dock-Out Days: October 28 and 30
