Newfield : Cardboard Boat Building
Description
Using basic building components like cardboard and duct tape, youth will spend the week building the most sturdy boat they can imagine - that they can fit in. At the end of the week, youth will have a chance to test there boats on Cayuga Lake at Myers Park in Lansing.

At 9am youth will need to be dropped off by a parent or guardian at Newfield middle school. On Thursday transportation to Myers park in Lansing will be provided from there. After the events of the day, youth will be returned to Newfield middle to be picked up by a parent or guardian at 2:30pm.

Lunch will be provided, but youth are encouraged to come prepared with water bottles, swim wear, and sunscreen or water shoes if needed.
