Unlock Your Problem-Solving Potential: Prep for Upper School Math
Description
This course is designed for students to revisit the foundational skills necessary for success in Upper School Math. Students will work to build knowledge and tools for flexible problem solving, algebraic processes, fundamental calculator skills, and productive struggle. Through an exploration of select topics, students will learn to apply problem-solving techniques, with a focus on both procedural fluency and conceptual understanding. All assignments are designed to prepare students for an inquiry-based approach that they will be expected to do throughout their high school careers at Latin. While open to all students, this course is best suited for those enrolled in Algebra 2 in the Fall.


This course is not for credit and does not impact placement decisions.
