Foundations of Essay Writing
Description
This course will strengthen the fundamental principles of writing a variety of different essay forms. Students will receive guidance on articulate writing, mechanics, and topic development as they produce well-crafted essays with an effective thesis, support, introduction, and conclusion. Types of writing will include analytical thesis-driven essays, personal narratives in the vein of college admission essays, and timed writing in preparation for in-class essays and the ACT/SAT.
