Sailing Access Membership - 2026

You’ve spoken up, and we are listening. One question we hear all the time is: what do you do after learning how to sail?

Buy a boat? Well… that gets expensive quickly. Once you buy a boat, you also have to register it, insure it, transport it, store it, and in many cases purchase permits for different reservoirs. That can make continuing in the sport feel out of reach.

That’s why we created the CSC Access Membership. Instead of buying a boat, members can gain access to our community fleet and continue sailing in an affordable and accessible way.

At Boulder, Access Members will have use of an RS Zest, Topaz, c420, and Laser during operational hours:

Once summer camps end, additional boats will become available when they are not being used for other programming. We will also host dedicated Access Membership sailing times on select Friday evenings and weekends.

At Cherry Creek, Access Members will have opportunities to sail c420s during DSA Thursday night racing.

We are starting small. As this is our first year offering this program, we know we will learn a lot and encounter challenges along the way. Our goal is to bring the sailing community closer together and create more opportunities for people to continue sailing without needing to buy a boat or jump straight into racing.

We know Colorado has many talented youth sailors, but for this first year, Access Memberships will be limited to ages 18 and older.

All Access Members must either pass a "checkout" to be cleared to take out boats, or graduate from our adult dinghy sailing class.
