Japanese Apprentice
Description
The Mori no Ike Apprentice Program offers an opportunity for returning villagers to improve their Japanese language skills while also taking on special leadership responsibilities in the Village. Mori no Ike apprentices live with other Mori no Ike participants and join in village activities, but also contribute to the Mori no Ike community and develop a special skill at the same time, learning from master teachers and counselors.
Participation in this program is subject to approval by the dean. Please apply with the google form linked below. You will be contacted to complete registration after your application is reviewed.
Participants receive a certificate of apprenticeship with work hours included. Program cost $3,135, not eligible for scholarship. For ages 15-18 with Japanese language proficiency equivalent to at least two years of high school study, as well as previous leadership experience.

Japanese sessions during the second half of the summer (July 27-August 18) will take place at Camp Patmos, located in Hackensack, MN.
