Camp Grier Equestrian Day camp!!

Camp Grier Equestrian Center is excited to introduce 5 days of horse immersion Day Camp. Equestrian day camp is available to kids rising 5th-12th grade of all experience levels. Day camp will offer horse related or involved activities, slow-burn approaches to horse and human connections, and LOTS of fun in the sun from 8:00am-3:30pm!

Campers will have opportunities to learn about:
-horse care and maintenance,
-farm work and chores
-grooming and groundwork
-riding and tack
-disciplines of riding
-trail riding etiquette/stewardship

While non-competitive riding and natural horsemanship are the primary focus of mounted activities, experienced riders may have opportunities to progress their skills in higher gaits and jumping/competitive disciplines. Much of the camper's ride time will be on the beautiful Camp Grier and Gateway trails, learning practical and intuitive skills in-saddle. Arena riding will offer instruction on riding technique, seat, and skill. Whether your child’s interest is simply to touch and groom a horse, or to expand their understanding of being an advanced rider- day camp will offer diverse activities in a beautiful and sacred outdoor setting

Campers will be separated into groups based on experience for riding blocks each day and will join all together for group activities (i.e. arts and crafts, swimming, games, demonstrations, snack & lunch)
