Young Mariner Week 8
Description
The Young Mariner Program (YMP) is a summer camp for kids entering grades 4-7 that combines marine biology, on-water exploration, and hands-on activities. Campers spend time both at the museum and on the water, learning about Cape Cod’s marine life, maritime history and environmental stewardship.

Weekly sessions run Monday through Thursday, 9 AM - 3 PM, with a STEM-based curriculum designed to spark curiosity and build confidence on and around the water

Week 8 Theme: Deep Sea – Horseshoe Crabs and Crustaceans
Venture into the mysterious depths of the ocean, where creatures like horseshoe crabs and crustaceans thrive in the pitch-black waters. Explore how these ancient and resilient species have adapted to life in the deep sea’s extreme conditions. Learn about their crucial role in the ocean’s ecosystems and discover the wonders of life far beneath the surface.
