Young Mariner Week 4
Description
The Young Mariner Program (YMP) is a summer camp for kids entering grades 4-7 that combines marine biology, on-water exploration, and hands-on activities. Campers spend time both at the museum and on the water, learning about Cape Cod’s marine life, maritime history and environmental stewardship.

Weekly sessions run Monday through Thursday, 9 AM - 3 PM, with a STEM-based curriculum designed to spark curiosity and build confidence on and around the water

Week 4 Theme: Beaches and Coastal Dunes – Seal Species (Harbor Seals, Gray Seals)
Explore the dynamic landscapes of coastal dunes and sandy beaches, vital habitats shaped by wind and waves. Delve into the lives of local seal species, including harbor seals and gray seals, as you uncover their behaviors, adaptations, and the challenges they face in these ever-changing environments. Discover how these charismatic marine mammals rely on the shoreline for rest, reproduction, and survival.
