Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

Join us for a "CPR for Mental Health" training session—completely FREE of charge!

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a skills-based course designed to teach you how to identify, understand, and respond to mental health and substance use challenges in young people. This nationally certified training introduces common youth mental health challenges, reviews typical adolescent development, and provides a 5-step action plan to help in both crisis and non-crisis situations.

Topics Covered Include:
  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Substance Use
  • Disruptive Behavior Disorders (including AD/HD)
  • Eating Disorders
  • Disorders involving Psychosis
This training is provided by the Health and Wellness Center based in Eufaula through a generous grant intended to reach as many community members as possible. All materials are supplied at no cost to you.

Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If GSWESTOK cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a full refund.

Registration Cancellation by Participant. Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. A doctor's note will be required for any refunds after the cancellation deadline. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.
