Badge Discovery Kits: Shine with Pride!
Description
Celebrate Pride and explore the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community with the Shine with Pride Badge Discovery Kit! This kit is designed to help Girl Scouts of all ages discover the rich history, vibrant culture, and inspiring individuals who have shaped the LGBTQ+ movement.

Packed with creative activities and hands-on projects, this kit offers an exciting way to learn about Pride, allyship, and the importance of inclusion. Whether you’re working on your own or with your troop, each activity will help you connect with the core
values of LGBTQ+ Pride while earning your LGBTQ+ Pride Month Patch—a part of the multicultural patch program from GSUSA.

Through crafting, reflection, and fun activities, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of what it means to celebrate diversity and support the LGBTQ+ community. This kit is perfect for exploring Pride in a creative and meaningful way, and it’s designed to help
you reflect on the significance of being an ally and embracing all identities.

Registration and Availability
Registration for the Shine with Pride Badge Discovery Kit opens on June 10, 2025. Kits will be available for pick-up or shipment starting June 10, 2025, at 4 PM and every two weeks after that.

Kit Options:
  • Metro Troops (within 25 miles of Council at 6100 N Robinson Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73118) are highly encouraged, but not required, to opt to pick up their kits at the Council office. Each girl’s kit will be organized into a larger troop box and ready for pick-up at the 2nd-floor pick-up area.

  • Non-Metro Troops will receive individual mailers for each girl delivered to the address provided at registration.
Important Shipping Details:
If you select the shipping option, be sure your address is current in our system when registering. Double-check your address with Customer Care at GSWESTOK to confirm accuracy. You will also receive an email from tkemp@gswestok.org to verify the shipping address. Accurate address information is crucial for delivery, and we’ll work to ensure everything is correct.

Registration is open until June 9, 2026!
The first kits will be ready for pick-up or shipping on June 10, 2025, at 4 PM, and will continue every two weeks from that point forward.
If you register less than three days before a pick-up/ship date, your kit will be available for the following pick-up/ship date, not the one three days away.

Troop Leaders!
If you'd like to pay for a Badge Discovery Kit with troop funds, please select the sponsorship option under the main menu (3 bars on the top left of your screen) in your registration profile. Group preorder is not necessary. You can find instructions in the "For Troop Leaders" section of the Document Center to purchase with troop funds today!
