Troop 27 presents Girl Scouts Go Medieval

Interested in learning about Medieval times? Want to meet real knights and fighters? Want to dress up like a princess or a knight? You can do just that and much more during this fun-filled weekend.

Troop 27 is partnering with the Society of Creative Anachronisms (SCA) to hold a Medieval themed camp out. Visit sca.org for more information.

SCA will be volunteering and manning all the stations. There will be Kumihimo weaving, dancing, armored fight demonstration, and much more. Juniors that attend will have the opportunity to earn the Playing in the Past badge (badge not included).

The SCA will also be cooking a fantastic meal for Saturday evening's Medieval feast. All meals will be provided by Troop 27, except for Friday night.

Cost includes fun patch, event supplies, and meals as listed above.

Other Details:
  • There will be a prize for the troop who has made the best effort looking medieval.
  • Camp rules still apply: no open-toed shoes or flip-flops.
  • Health forms and permission slips are required for each participant.
This event is for registered girls in grades K-12 and registered volunteers with a background check on file at the council.

This is not a drop off event. Girls must be accompanied by an adult. All adults must be registered members with a current background check on file at council. Please, no tagalongs at this event.

Attendance as a troop is encouraged. If attending as a Troop, girl to adult ratios must be met and troop First Aid rules must be followed. Health History forms are required for every person attending. Your Troop First Aider will be responsible for those documents during the event.

Group preorder is not available for this event.

Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If GSWESTOK cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a full refund.

Registration Cancellation by Participant. Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. A doctor's note will be required for any refunds after the cancellation deadline. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.
