Badge Discovery Kits: Gratitude is the Way
Description
Come join the gratitude train and earn your Patience, Kindness and Mindfulness Fun Patch. Learn how to spread peace, kindness and gratitude to yourself and other people.

Gratitude is more than being thankful for something, it's about focusing on the positives and building a higher self-esteem. This unique kit engages Girl Scouts in learning about what kindness means and how it looks like, how to host a Friendsgiving, etiquette, what a true friendship looks like, and how gratitude effects your life.

What's Included:
Inside your kit you will find a treasure trove of engaging activities, supplies, and resources that empower you to explore the importance of helping others and being more aware of how to spread kindness in your community. Each activity is crafted to be fun, interactive, and educational.

Program Completion:
Upon completion of the activities, your Girl Scouts will earn the Patience, Kindness, and Mindfulness Fun Patch.

Registration and Availability
Registration for the Gratitude is the Way Badge Discovery Kit opens on November 12, 2024. The first box launch is on November 18, 2024, with kits ready for pick-up or scheduled for shipment at 4 PM on that day.

Kit Options:
  • Metro Troops (within 25 miles of Council at 6100 N Robinson Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73118) are highly encouraged, but not required, to opt to pick up their kits at the Council office. Each girl’s kit will be organized into a larger troop box and ready for pick-up at the 2nd-floor pick-up area.
  • Non-Metro Troops will receive individual mailers for each girl delivered to the address provided at registration.
Important Shipping Details:
If you select the shipping option, be sure your address is current in our system when registering. Double-check your address with Customer Care at GSWESTOK to confirm accuracy. You will also receive an email from tkemp@gswestok.org to verify the shipping address. Accurate address information is crucial for delivery, and we’ll work to ensure everything is correct.

Registration is open until November 12, 2025!
The first kits will be ready for pick-up or shipping on November 18, 2025, and will continue every two weeks from that point forward.
If you register less than three days before a pick-up/ship date, your kit will be available for the following pick-up/ship date, not the one three days away.

Troop Leaders!
If you'd like to pay for this event with troop funds, please select the sponsorship option under the main menu (3 bars on the top left of your screen) in your registration profile.

Group preorder is not available for this event.

You can find instructions for Sponsorships in the "For Troop Leaders" section of the Document Center to reserve spaces and/or provide your troop the opportunity to pay with troop funds!

GSWESTOK EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY:
(Includes HAT, Outdoor Committee, and Alumni Events)
Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If GSWESTOK cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a full refund.

Registration Cancellation by Participant. Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline. Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund. A doctor's note will be required for any refunds after the cancellation deadline. Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.
