The Colors of Winter

Class Description:
Winter, though seemingly monochromatic, can be loaded with color! Snow is the perfect canvas for reflecting colors, light, and shadows. In this workshop, we will begin by observing some winter settings and noticing the colors and shapes of the land. Students will paint a small snow person as a warm-up and then work on a wintery landscape painting of their choice.

This workshop introduces students to the fundamentals of working with acrylic paints. Learning the basic color palette, setting up the palette, color mixing, brush techniques, and proper clean-up procedures are fundamental to a positive painting experience. The small class size ensures plenty of individualized attention, and all materials are provided.
