Character Vessels | with Norbert Shumkus

Vapid vases, boring mugs, blah bowls, uninteresting urns? Bring your imagination and your hand-building skills as we create one-of-a-kind vessels imbued with personality. Using classic hand-building techniques; coil, slab, rolls, we will add facial features that bring your creations to life.
Award-winning ceramic artist Norbert Shimkus will start with building methods for eyes, ears, noses, and how to apply them to your vessel. There’s no limit to the creative possibilities. This is art that you can use every day.

*All adult ceramics students must purchase a 25-pound bag of clay. Students have full access to studio glazes and equipment, one shelf, open studio schedule, and space in scheduled kiln firings. Beginning students should purchase a basic pottery tool kit for class (not included in the price of tuition). Clay not included with the price of class.
