Intro to Potter's Wheel Level 1 (Winter)
Description
Intro to Potter's Wheel Level 1 | with Deborah Gardner

This class is designed for the novice student who has little (6 months or less) to no experience on the potter’s wheel. Throughout the session, you will be guided through the essential techniques and practices that form the foundation of pottery. You will learn the art of wedging, centering and shaping clay to create your own functional pieces. In addition to throwing, you will learn the process of trimming and glazing, and adding your own finishing touches to your pieces. This class offers a lot of hands-on guidance to help you create the pieces you are dreaming about.

All adult ceramics students must purchase a 25-pound bag of clay. Students have full access to studio glazes and equipment, one shelf, open studio schedule, and space in scheduled kiln firings. Beginning students should purchase a basic pottery tool kit for class (not included in the price of tuition). Clay not included with the price of class*
